Starting today, the schedule of trains on the “green” and “red” lines of the Baku metro is changed due to the major repair and reconstruction of the train turning chamber at the “Hazi Aslanov” station.
Oku.Az informs that, according to information published by JSC “Baku Metropoliten”, during the repair period trains will run on the “red” line (from the “Icherisheher” station) and on the “green” line (from the “Darnagul” station ) to “Ahmadli” Station.
During the week, the most intense train schedule technically possible will be maintained.
During peak hours of the day (07:00-10:00 and 17:30-19:30) the movement of trains in the “May 28” – “Ahmadli” zone will be regulated with an interval of 2 minutes. The train interval in that area will be 2.5 minutes from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and 3 minutes at the same time on Sundays.
Starting today, the schedules of trains running in the direction of “Bakmil” have also been changed.
Taking into account the interests of passengers heading to the “Hazi Aslanov” station, passenger transportation at the station will not stop until major repair work on the turning chamber is completed. Movement of trains from this station will be organized only up to “Ahmadli” station and vice versa. Trains from “Ahmedli” and “Hazi Aslanov” stations will be organized with an interval of 10 minutes.
There will be no change in the train schedule on the “Khatai” – “Jafar Jabbarli” section of the green line and on the “purple” line.
Passengers will receive additional information about non-working days and holidays announced by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The joint stock company “Baku Metropoliteni” appealed to passengers on this issue:
“Passengers who want to go to other Baku metro stations should get off the train at the “Ahmadli” station and take the “Icherisheher” and “Darnagul” trains from the other side.
Passengers who want to go to the “Hazi Aslanov” station from the “Icherisheher” and “Darnagul” stations must leave the train at the “Ahmedli” station and wait for the train coming in the other direction. Taking into account the new train schedules and the interval between the two stations, we ask our passengers using the “Hazi Aslanov” station to take into account the existing interval differences when making their travel plans.
We ask passengers to be careful at the “Ahmadli” station. It is important to use mobile devices as little as possible at the station and not ignore the information on the direction indicators on the route panels. It is also recommended to use headphones as little as possible to pay attention to the announcements made at the station, to the information from the officer on duty and not to make a mistake in the direction to follow.”
