Oku.Az This was reportedly stated by Israel’s new Defense Minister, Israel Kats, who previously headed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the handover ceremony to the country’s new Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar.
“The achievements of the Israel Defense Forces in the operation against Hamas, although very costly, are extremely powerful. Hamas has been destroyed organizationally, although there are still scattered terrorist groups there (in the Gaza Strip – ed.). Our goal is to destroy them (Hamas – ed.) is to prevent it from regaining power in the Gaza Strip,” he stated.
“As for Israel’s northern border with Lebanon, our attacks will be studied in military schools. We defeated Hezbollah, and the elimination of the Organization’s Secretary General, Hassan Nasrullah, was the culmination of this defeat. Now our objective is continue the pressure and ensure a change in the security situation in Lebanon so that it bears fruit,” the Minister added.
