The storm clouds that ravage the sky of the province of Valencia will develop without respite in the pre-coastal sierras and could almost disappear 200 liters per square meter. A forecast that has put the entire Valencian Community on alert due to the arrival of a DANA or a drop of cold that will last, at least, until next Wednesday

The Ministry of Justice and Interior, through the Emergency Coordination Center, reported in a special notice the reactivation of the episode of intense rains that will affect the Valencian Community from Tuesday, October 29.

The warning forecasts of the National Meteorological Agency (Aémet) includes warnings of precipitation of up to 150 liters per square meter in various parts of the Valencian Community. In addition to the rains, coastal phenomena are expected along the entire coast as well as warnings of winds of 80 kilometers per hour in the interior of the Valencia province.

The Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat reports that as a result of these phenomena there could be an activation of river basins and ravines, and floods local due to those accumulated in areas of high urban occupation.

For this reason, the Ministry of Justice and the Interior recommends that municipalities and organizations with emergency management powers maintain the necessary attention and follow-up to all notices issued during these days by the Center of coordination of emergencies to anticipate activation before municipal intervention. against flood risks and territorial plans, as well as establishing the corresponding preventive measures in their respective areas.

It is also recommended to pay particular attention to speed bumps and underground passages of rivers and ravines and in areas close to the coast. Among the advice to the population, citizens are asked to keep informed of developments in the situation; that remove vehicles from areas likely to be flooded; move away from the banks of rivers and ravines; to follow the advice of the competent authorities and never attempt to cross a ford, a flooded area or an underground passage as you could be unexpectedly swept away by the water currents.

According to the Meteored platform, cumulonimbus clouds appear to leave this Monday evening from the pre-coastal mountain ranges in the southern half of the province of Valencia. The first are expected to spread quickly and it is expected that at the end of the morning a large convective system will form between the regions of La Safor, Vall d’Albaida or la Costera and up to Utiel-Requena.
