Streets closed and EMT lines diverted in Valencia on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September for the Triathlon

The City of Valencia is preparing a traffic plan for this weekend with closed streets for the ‘MediterráneaTRI’ triathlon, which hosts the World Cup of Triathlon for the fourth consecutive year in the area of ​​La Marina, in the municipality of Poblats Marítims, as reported by the city council in a statement.

The effects on road traffic will be concentrated on the Saturday and Sunday morning cycling trials, which will take place on urban roads, mainly between 6am and 2pmThe rest of the tests will take place within La Marina.

Thus, the circuit for the cycling events, on Saturday and Sunday, will start at the Plaza de l’Aigua and will pass through the La Marina road, continue along JJ Dómine street, along Avenida del Puerto, with a turn just before reaching Serrería (only the EMT-Taxi lane will be activated on Avenida del Puerto).

Then you will continue along Joan Verdeguer Street, turning just before reaching Ibiza Street, towards Ingeniero José Manuel Soto Street, followed by the Astilleros Bridge and Les Moreres Street, turning before reaching Estacioneta Street (the roundabout remains active).

From Les Moreres Street, continue towards La Marina Sur, passing the Astilleros Bridge (with a lane reserved for residual traffic), the Paseo de la Calma, until the La Marina road and ending again at the Plaza del Agua.

Access to the event will be from V-21 and the street Eugenia Vines (to the north), and from the V-30 and the Poniente pier (to the south). From Thursday 12th at 10pm and until Sunday 15th at 3pm, it will be PROHIBITED PARKING on both sides of La Marina Road (opposite Tinglado 2), between the Clock Building and Semana Santa Marinera Square; also on both sides of JJ Dómine Street, between Puerto Avenue and Semana Santa Marinera Square; on both sides of Puerto Avenue, from Serrería to JJ Dómine Street; and on both sides of Joan Verdeguer Street, between Ingeniero Manuel Soto Street and Ibiza Street.
