Cyclone “Fengal” reached the southeastern coast of India, causing flooding in several cities and districts and severely damaging transportation.
Oku.Az TASS reports that local authorities and the meteorological service have published information in this regard.
Heavy rain and strong winds lashed several districts in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry, forecasters said. The Regional Meteorological Center in Chennai, capital of the state of Tamil Nadu, has issued a red alert for eight districts.
The authorities closed all the beaches and stopped the trains.
