Floods caused by heavy rain have covered the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna.

The city of Bologna and its surroundings were affected by the natural disaster. In rural areas, agricultural fields, roads and several residential areas were flooded.
Rescuers also recorded a critical rise in water levels in local rivers. They decided to evacuate at least two thousand people from their homes.
