Student brother was unconscious when he strangled and killed his sister

A court hearing has been held in the criminal case of Hasan Karimov, who strangled his sister to death in the capital’s Sulutepe settlement.

Oku.AzAccording to Telman Huseynov, a judge at the Baku Court for Serious Crimes, the expert’s opinion was that the accused was unconscious when he committed the incident.

According to the verdict, Hasan Mammadov actually strangled his sister and committed the incident when he fell into a state of insensibility due to the mental disorder that arose against the background of the quarrel. The prosecutor again submitted a petition for the in-patient psychiatric-psychological examination of the complex commission due to the contradiction between the two expert reports on the accused. Although the defense requested that the petition be denied, after a brief consultation, the prosecutor’s request was granted.

It should be noted that the incident took place on October 12, 2023 at around 23:00 in the Sulutepa settlement of the Binagadi district.
