Students in four Ismayilli villages have not been able to go to school for 11 days: parents are worried

Parents living in several villages in Ismayilli district are seriously concerned about the violation of their children’s right to education. Thus, 52 students have been forced to miss classes for 11 days due to lack of a car to go to school in the villages of II Yeniyol, Tirjan (farm), Zargaran and Pirabilgasim in the region.

“We are residents of four villages – II Yeniyol, Tirjan (farm), Zargaran, Pirabilgasim – we appeal to you. Since there is no school in our villages, they gave us a car to take 52 children to the neighboring village. In September, four drivers took the children to the Tazakend school. Since October 1, the transportation of schoolchildren was suspended. At first they told us that it would be arranged in October, but yesterday the parents went to the regional office and said no, there will not be one. more transportation,” the request said.

We sent an application to the Nagorno-Shirvan Regional Education Department of the Ministry of Science and Education.

Department Public Relations Officer Anar Osmanov Oku.Azsaid in a statement that in several general education institutions operating under the Nagorno-Karabakh Regional Education Department, optimization measures (unification of schools) are being implemented to improve the quality of education and provide more opportunities to students.

Due to the small number of students in Yeniyol II, Tirjan (farm), Zargeran and Pirabilgasim villages of Ismayilli district, the students were transferred to Tazakend village secondary school of Ismayilli district.

Last year, transportation of 52 schoolchildren was provided to Tazakend Village Secondary School through assigned transportation.

This process was extended until October 1 of the new academic year, terminating the contract with the transport company. They are currently in negotiations with companies to transport students. The process is planned to be resumed in the near future,” said A. Osmanov.
