Sumar, “far from reaching an agreement” with the government on general budgets

The government has an arduous task before it: developing the general state budgets. According to what its government partners informed laSexta, Sumar far from reaching agreement on tax reform.

As the group led by Yolanda Díaz stated, the “key differences” in reaching an agreement between the two groups are due to “questions that should allow Spain to move forward in terms of tax justice”.

Sumar reaffirms his intention of an “enterprising state which must be financed by a significant fiscal reinforcement which must rest exclusively on the shoulders of those who have the most”.

Furthermore, one of Sumar’s main demands at the PSOE concerns taxes on banks and energy companies. Since the formation of Yolanda Díaz, they have categorically declared that will not allow a reduction or elimination of taxes in neither sector because they consider it “essential to advance the social agenda”.

In this way, the Government finds itself faced with a great obstacle from one of its partners in being able to execute the General State Budgets.
