Residents of European Russia need to enjoy the last days of summer weather, as air temperatures will drop below 10 degrees Celsius on Sunday, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, told RIA Novosti.
“All residents of Moscow, the Moscow region and, in general, of the whole of European Russia, should enjoy the last days of the amazing summer that September brought. The weather did not just pass over, but gracefully jumped over on September 1, not realizing that autumn should have already begun, and the weather continued to exist in the July super-summer mode.” – he pointed out.
According to the meteorologist, the temperature on Friday will drop to +20-22 degrees and will correspond to the norm for the second half of June, on Saturday the temperature will drop by a couple more degrees.
“A significant decrease associated with the invasion of really cold air masses will occur… already on Sunday. Night temperatures will be (more) 2 to 7 degrees, during the day – 11 to 16. That is, at the end of the week the temperature will drop more than ten degrees compared to the first half of the week.” – said the meteorologist.
He added that autumn weather in central European Russia will begin on Sunday, the day of the autumn equinox.
