It is known that Indonesia began a difficult journey to switch to dependence on fossil fuel to cleaner and more stable energy sources. This transformation is very important for ensuring energy safety and achieving climatic goals.
In order to encourage investment in renewable energy, regulatory adjustments are needed – and it is here that the program of accessible and stable energy transition (assets) plays a role in supporting the reform.
Here are two pillars of the focus asset program:
- Strengthening the political structure and rules for the transition of pure energy.
- Improve sector management and financial stability.
The important achievements that were supported by this program today include the creation of the target group to switch to the energy transition and the development of basic rules aimed at increasing renewable energy, such as ministerial rules to support the integration of roofing solar power plants, determining the legal grounds for carbon trading based on emissions, as well as restricting emissions for power plants.
