New shark attack off the coast of Hawaii. Surfer Kenji Nonoka, 61, lost his right leg in a shark attack.. It all happened while the surfer was training on the island of Maui, Hawaii (United States).
Kenji was rescued on the beach by the police who applied a tourniquet to him on his leg. He was then taken to hospital.
“I heard a scream and I looked, and suddenly I saw a splash and I don’t know what was happening. “He swam back maybe halfway, then I saw someone jump,” one of the witnesses to the attack said in statements to local media.
Despite this attack, the surfer once again displayed his love for the sea and for the sport he practices every day: “I still love the ocean.”
