Suspected perpetrators of murder of four Spanish tourists in Afghanistan arrested last May

The Afghan government on Monday reported the arrest of several members of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group allegedly involved in the attack on a group of tourists last May in Afghanistan, in which seven people died, including four Spaniards.

Those arrested were ‘key members’ of ISIS’s Afghan branchas indicated by Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid in a message on the social network Efein which he stated that the detainees had been involved in several attacks, including “an attack on foreign tourists in Bamiyan province.”

The attack on the tourists, in which eight other people were also injured, took place on May 17, when the group of foreigners was visiting the Bamiyan market and an unknown number of attackers began to shoot them.
