Liputan6.com, jakarta – The Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian MPR from the Democratic Party, Edha Baskoro Yudhoyono, said that cooperatives were not only business organizations, but also important tools in achieving sustainable development goals (Tsur). According to him, there is a great goal – to facilitate poverty, ensure employment, increase economic growth with the help of cooperatives.
“Cooperatives are important to respond to the Tsur. We are in DPR, often dealing with national discussions that correspond to the programs of the CUR. Dismiss poverty, overcome unemployment, which is the responsibility of the nation and is our duty as a national child, ”said a close person in a written statement received on Thursday (7/10/2025).
Aybas claimed that cooperatives are a means of achieving the Tsur, so there are big goals with the state with the children of the country. Referring to the data of the International Labor Organization (ILO), there is a great potential from cooperatives on a global scale.
“Where MOT also registered 279 million people in the world working in cooperatives. Thus, in Indonesia, cooperatives can be a bridge between farmers and markets, between fishermen and processing, between the MMSP and access to capital between education and entrepreneurship, ”said representatives of people from the Eastern Java VII electoral districts.
Before the participants, the deputy chairman of the Democratic Party invited all parties not to wait for the ideal situation in the promotion of the cooperative.
“So who should start? I think that all cooperatives can also be pioneers. Farm cooperatives, fishermen cooperatives, cooperatives Pesantren, digital cooperatives, young people should enter into creative and technological sectors, ”he said.
