TAD decides to reprimand Tebas and he will be disqualified as president of La Liga if he commits another fault

He Administrative Court of Sports (TAD) decided to reprimand Javier Tebas for having illegally convened the first general meeting at which the agreement with the fund was approved CVC.

The TAD thus agrees with Real Madrid, which had denounced the president of the LaLiga. Tebas is therefore warned and will be disqualified if he commits a new offence.

The CSD is waiting to file two complaints against Javier Tebas with the TAD. The first of them was presented by SPANISH against the president of LaLiga for abuse of authority and failure to comply with regulatory provisions, among other facts.

The second complaint was filed by a lawyer just two weeks ago. According to the document, Tebas did not comply with the rules of the Transparency and good government.

The CSD is obliged to raise all justified complaints that reach the TAD, since it was Tebas himself who achieved this through legal action while he was waging an intense war with Luis Rubiales.

The TAD resolution reprimanding Tebas is of great importance, because officially, the president of La Liga is one step away from disqualification.

The decision of Administrative Court of Sports represents a serious setback for the aspirations of Javier TebasThis reprimand leaves the leader of the Liga on the brink, since any other resolution against him would immediately disqualify him as president of the employers’ association.

Javier Tebas came to power in April 2013. He has led the Spanish employers’ union for more than eleven years, but his position is now more than ever called into question due to his numerous scandals and this latest resolution by the Administrative Court of Sport.

Javier Tebas is now waiting for the resolution of the other two cases that the Higher Council of Sports He still has to raise the TAD, knowing that a new contrary resolution would remove him from his functions.

During this month of September, the CSD received a new complaint against the president of LaLiga for non-compliance with the rules of transparency and good governance, a complaint that also affected Jorge de la Vega, the executive general director of this organization.

The complaint, to which he had access SPANISHrequested that “the imposition of sanctions that correspond to the law be agreed” and affirmed that LaLiga, in its Transparency section, does not include “the minutes of General meeting and extracts from the minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors and of Delegated Commission“.

In addition, another complaint filed by EL ESPAÑOL is still pending submission to the TAD. At the end of 2023, this newspaper asked the CSD to invite the Administrative Court of Sports to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the president of LaLiga for abuse of authority and non-compliance with regulatory provisions, among other reported facts.
