The Taiwanese administration could transfer Hawk anti-aircraft missile (SAM) systems to Ukraine. Forbes magazine writes about this in reference to former Pentagon official Tony Hu.
According to the publication, we may be talking about surpluses that the Taiwanese armed forces had, which the island’s administration could transfer to Ukraine through the mediation of the United States.
In total, up to 15 batteries of Hawk air defense systems could be transferred, each of which has at least six three-missile launchers.
Previously, the US State Department approved the sale of kits for the maintenance of the Hawk air defense system to Ukraine for $138 million. According to the Pentagon, “this will not harm US defense capabilities.”
