Taiwan’s Defense Ministry did not confirm media reports that Taiwan is inviting Ukrainian military personnel to exchange military experience, but noted that the island is cooperating with Ukrainian scientists, the island’s Central News Agency (CNA) reports.
Earlier, Taiwanese media outlet Newtalk reported that Taiwan invited Ukrainian military personnel to exchange experiences.
According to CNA, the Ministry of Defense described this message as “unverified information.” As noted by the defense department, the National Defense and Security Institute annually attracts scientists from other countries to promote Taiwan’s integration with international standards and the exchange of experiences.
According to the Ministry of Defense, a researcher from Ukraine is currently working in Taiwan at the Institute of National Defense and Security. Yuri Poyta.
As previously reported by CNA, the National Defense Report released last year by Taiwan’s Defense Ministry noted that the island’s armed forces would take “lessons” from the Ukraine conflict into account in their military development.
