The movements of the units of the Chinese Army Rocket Forces are in the field of vision of the surveillance and reconnaissance means of the Taiwanese Armed Forces. This is reported by TASS, referring to Taiwan’s defense department.
“Surveillance and reconnaissance means closely follow the movements of the units of the communist missile forces, the garrisons on all remote islands have been transferred to a regime of increased surveillance and aircraft and ships will respond to enemy actions in accordance with the combat order”, – the department said in a statement.
The document states that Taiwanese intelligence will monitor the situation at sea and in the airspace around the island and will periodically notify the population of actions taken in response. The army urges the island’s inhabitants not to react to possible false information and to believe only in official sources.
On Monday, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army began another exercise in Taiwan. The People’s Liberation Army’s Eastern Combat Command said the exercise would be a “powerful deterrent to separatist forces seeking Taiwanese independence.”
