Talavera remains impeccable and Guadalajara missed the victory in Tenerife

CF Talavera continues its impeccable progression in the championship: three games played, three victories for the ceramic team. The happiness of the blue and white team is complete on the eve of the San Mateo Fair.

With 1,560 spectators in the Prado Municipal Hall – the official figure – the Talavera team won 1-0 against UD Melilla. The goal came in the 75th minute thanks to a clear penalty committed on Álvaro Sánchez and that the striker himself converted into a goal with a low and crossed shot in the 75th minute.

The Melilla team, one of the big favourites for promotion, were hurt by Corbalán’s expulsion in the 59th minute for a double yellow card.

The match was one of alternating dominance, with goal opportunities for both teams. The battle was decided by a clever play from Álvaro Sánchez who sought and obtained the maximum penalty committed by the visiting central defender.

Talavera CF’s next match will be at Deportivo Guadalajara on Sunday (7:00 p.m., on CMM Play).

For their part, Deportivo Guadalajara lost a 0-2 lead in the second half of their match at the Ciudad Deportiva del Tenerife against the team’s affiliate Chicharrero. David Amigo made it 0-1 in the 12th minute with one of his usual powerful shots.

The second goal of the purple team came in the 22nd minute and was commonly called “Olympic”. It was following a corner kicked by Manu Ramírez that had a venomous effect that surprised the local goalkeeper.

The second half was a test for the Alcarreños and Tenerife B reached the draw. The 1-2 thanks to a good local play that Ethyan finished despite Dani Gallardo almost saving the goal on the goal line. The final equalizer was achieved by Jorge Padilla with a great header on a good cross from Dawda.

Finally, Balompédica Conquense won 1-0 against CD Illescas in a match played on the Cristina Martínez field of the Luis Ocaña Municipal Sports Complex, which was in poor condition. It was thanks to a solitary goal scored by Jairo Cárcaba from a penalty, a maximum penalty committed by Chaves on Monterde in the 58th minute. The play was contested by the Sagreños who believed that it was not a penalty. Illescas still has no points so far in the league, while Balompédica breathes in the standings.
