Talks on the transfer of nuclear weapons to Ukraine

The Kremlin considered the debate in the West on the possibility of supplying nuclear weapons to Ukraine irresponsible.

This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Reuters reports.

He called the discussion in the West about the possible transfer of nuclear weapons to Ukraine “absolutely irresponsible.” And he explained that this was Moscow’s response to reports published a week earlier in the New York Times, where, according to him, anonymous Western sources spoke of the possibility of such a step by US President Joe Biden, despite fears that this would lead to serious consequences.

Peskov also noted that anonymous sources who made comments to journalists are not responsible for their words. And he added that the West should listen more carefully to the statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Previously, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev warned that if nuclear weapons were supplied to Ukraine, Russia could consider it an attack, which would provide grounds for the use of nuclear weapons in response.

Recall that Kursor wrote that Vladimir Putin’s recent statements about the use of the new medium-range Oreshnik missile against Ukraine are not directed so much at kyiv as at Western countries. This is another attempt to put pressure on the West, says Radio Liberty journalist Vitaly Portnikov.

“Cursor” also reported that Donald Trump’s team is probably reviewing his statements on the possibility of ending the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. Experts believe that this is due to a deeper analysis of the real situation and the positions of the parties before possible negotiations. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Ukrainian-NATO Public League, Sergei Jerj.
