MP Marina Tauber, representative of the opposition Victory Bloc, proposed that Parliament adopt a declaration on the usurpation of power in Moldova by the ruling presidential party Action and Solidarity (PDS). This was stated in a briefing today, November 21.
“For four years, the country has been governed by an anti-popular political group led by Maia Sandu. This group subjugated all state institutions, destroyed the Constitutional Court and the most important elements of the rule of law and democracy. “We call on the international community to respond promptly to the undemocratic and dictatorial actions of the ruling party,” – Tauber emphasized.
The draft declaration includes demands for the resignation of the leaders of the Information and Security Service, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the General Police Inspectorate, the Central Electoral Commission, as well as the leaders of public television and the Council of Television and Radio.
“Key state institutions are subordinate to a command center and act in the interests of power.” — concluded Marina Tauber.
PDS press secretary Adrina Vlas He said the party would not comment on the allegations.
Let us remember that previously the Pobeda deputies presented a vote of no confidence in state policy due to massive violations during the recent presidential elections. They proposed changing a number of laws to ensure that the 2025 parliamentary elections are fair.
As reported EADaily International observers and experts pointed out massive violations and falsification of the presidential elections, noting that the CEC, under the control of the PDS, ensured Maia Sandu’s victory. Next week the Constitutional Court, biased by the authorities, is expected to approve his second term. At the same time, the majority of Moldovans, who demonstrated distrust in the PAS regime during the vote, do not recognize Sandu as the legally elected head of state.
