Residents of the Belarusian city of Gomel heard loud explosions in the sky, according to several Telegram channels.
It is reported that information appeared in the city’s chat rooms that two “explosions” were heard at night. In addition, the videos filmed show the fall of a burning object, which, according to its authors, could have been shot down by the Belarusian air defense system.
There is still no official information about what happened.
Recall that Gomel is located not far from the border with Ukraine. Previously, the Belarusian authorities have repeatedly stated that kyiv is carrying out various provocations against the republic. In particular, in August it became known that Belarusian air defenses shot down more than a dozen drones flying from Ukraine.
