Telegram has not worked for five days in the North Caucasus regions

Since October 10, problems with access to Telegram have been observed in the North Caucasus Federal District. “Arrows of Kazbek” writes about four regions: Stavropol, Dagestan, Ingushetia and Chechnya. An EADaily correspondent reports that it has been impossible to access the courier in North Ossetia for five days.

“The majority of complaints are in the Stavropol territory. Telegram does not open at all for subscribers of Rostelecom, Yota, Megafon, neither via the mobile network nor via Wi-Fi. It got to the point that outraged residents of the region addressed the governor in comments. The response came from representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Communications. The department advised those who were dissatisfied to contact Roskomnadzor by phone (8652) 25-71-71. But the callers said: RKN does not admit guilt. In addition, Rostelecom operators, for example, assure subscribers that the failures of Telegram and RKN really have nothing to do with it. But no one can really explain why Telegram fails only in southern Russia.” – notes “Arrows of Kazbek”.

In this context, many theories arise; most associate the problems with the blocking of Discord and game servers, which are somehow related to Telegram.

Social media users also highlighted that Telegram was blocked after the threat from the head of Chechnya. Ramzan Kadyrov declare a blood feud against a senator from Dagestan Suleiman Kerimov.
