Telegram Messenger will open an office in Kazakhstan. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic, Zhaslan Madiev.
“An agreement has already been reached with Telegram on the appointment of its representative and the opening of an office, an important step to increase control over content.” – said.
Madiyev recalled that according to Kazakh law, all Internet messaging platforms must have a representative in the republic.
The minister added that the authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan actively cooperate with Telegram to quickly remove illegal content and block destructive channels.
According to him, the department will continue to work with international partners to create a reliable infrastructure that ensures the safety of Kazakhs on digital platforms.
