Television channel held accountable for LGBT* content – EADaily, October 14, 2024 – Society. News, Russian news

The Tagansky District Court imposed administrative liability on the Russian television channel TV-21 (TV-21M LLC). This was reported by the joint press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction on the Telegram channel.

“The LLC was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Art. 6.21.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Distribution among minors of information that demonstrates non-traditional relationships and (or) sexual preferences or that may cause minors to want to change gender)”, – says the message.

The court imposed a fine of 3 million rubles for the video.

The press service did not specify what content led to the imposition of a fine.

The TV-21 television company is a non-state regional channel broadcasting in Murmansk and the Murmansk region. The potential audience is about 800 thousand people. He is a network partner of the OTR (Russian Public Television) television channel.

As reported EADailyIn September, the same Moscow court declared the streaming service Kinopoisk administratively liable. The platform was found guilty under Part 2 of article 6.21.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Propaganda of pedophilia). The company was fined 7 million rubles.
