Tens of thousands of Brazilians demonstrated in downtown Sao Paulo against the Supreme Court’s decision to block the social network “X” in the country.
Oku.Az According to rbc.ru, the protests are related to the Independence Day demonstration of supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
“A country without freedom has no reason to celebrate this day. We are facing a government that is on the side of dictators and is opposed to our most precious asset: our freedom,” the former head of state wrote on the social network.
Dozens of conservative politicians joined the protests, many of whom accused the Supreme Court of trying to censor the right-wing opposition ahead of municipal elections on October 6.
