Nearly 50,000 concert tickets for the British group Oasis’ tour will be canceled due to resellers. This is reported by the Daily Mail portal.
According to tour organizers, the process has already begun. Ticket sales on authorized sites where resellers have inflated the original price of tickets will soon be checked. New tickets at the correct price will appear on the single Ticketmaster website.
“In line with the band’s commitments in the run-up to the sale of Oasis Live ’25, tour organizers say ticketing services Ticketmaster and See Tickets will begin the process of canceling tickets that violate the terms. and tour ticket sales conditions in the coming weeks. . These rules were introduced to take action against ticket resellers who resell tickets for huge profits, as a result of the measures taken, only 4% of tickets ended up on resale sites.” – says the publication.
As reported EADailyAfter Oasis announced their reunion, tickets for their 2025 tour dates sold out within hours. The band have announced 17 concerts across Britain and Ireland in July-August next year as part of The Oasis’ comeback tour.
Some fans complained that ticketing sites were rejecting their purchases, calling them bots. However, many of them were in the online queue for several hours.
Many fans were unhappy with how the sites handled the incredible demand. Tickets sold during a three-hour preliminary sales phase on Friday, August 30, have already appeared on resellers’ websites at 40 times the nominal price of a seat in the dance floor, i.e. standing room. The price shot up from £135 to £6k.
