Tension in Ferraz with the most critical socialist leaders before the celebration of their Federal Congress

Ferraz keeps his pulse with the PSOE of Castilla y León and other communities with a view to possible replacement in them. Since the convening of the 41st Federal Congress, which will be held on November 29 and 30 and December 1, rumors have been circulating the possibility of changes at the head of several PSOE autonomy. All eyes are on those who have been the most critical of Pedro Sánchez, who, despite the rumors, for now the majority say they are calm.

The last to take the pulse was the general secretary of the Socialists of Castile and León, Luis Tudanca. A figure which is added to well-known criticisms of Ferraz: the president of Castile-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page; the secretary general of the PSOE-M, Juan Lobato; and the general secretary in Aragon, Javier Lambán. The tension begins less than two months before the Federal Congress, which is crucial for the PSOE.

Tudanca had decided to move forward internal elections and also its Autonomous Congress, but since Ferraz they have arrested him. The spokesperson of the PSOE and provincial secretary, Esther Peña, maintained this Saturday morning that “all the activism of this party is governed by statutes and regulations which are the same for everyone and which we have what to respect“.

This was declared after the General Directorate of the PSOE canceled this Friday Tudanca’s callinsisting on the fact that it does not respect the statutes, by anticipating the date of the Federal Congress. For the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, “it is time to talk about the Federal Congress, the Socialist Party. it will be time to talk about autonomy“.

And even though the Tudanca regional congress was scheduled for January 25, The process would begin on October 8with the start of these internal elections. Tudanca responded, saying he did not understand the decision. He insists that his appeal is consistent with the statutes and that it is identical to the one he launched in 2021. However, he says he stands by the decision. but he doesn’t “share” it.

Andrea Fernández, former member of Sánchez’s executive and socialist from León, was one of the most critical in the last hours after the call was canceled. He showed his support and talks about “our thing“. “It is unacceptable for the interpretation of a rule to vary according to needs. We do not want a PSOE serving the Castilian-Leonese Cosa Nostra“, he noted this Friday evening in a tweet.
