Pro-Iran factions in Iraq have declared a state of high alert amid reports of possible Israeli airstrikes.

Israeli authorities have reportedly threatened to attack infrastructure in Iraq and eliminate key leaders of armed groups.
According to an Iraqi government source, the warning about possible attacks came through American representatives. Senior US officials have conveyed to Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani that Israel is prepared to take military action if Iraqi militants do not stop their attacks on Israeli targets.
However, representatives of pro-Iran groups refused to make concessions. They said they would continue their operations until Israel ceases hostilities in Gaza and southern Lebanon.
According to sources, Israel’s decision to attack Iraq may be taken in the context of continued missile attacks by Iranian-backed terrorists.
