The seven-seat version of the Model Y, which will go into production at Tesla’s Shanghai plant (PRC) in October, is intended not only for the Chinese market, but also for the European one.

The new product will weigh 45 kg more than the standard version of the electric car. The updated “Model Y” (codenamed “Juniper”) should be presented early next year. It is not yet possible to say whether the seven-seater modification is the same update or a completely different car.
Note that the seven-seater “Model Y” is not new. A car of this type was offered to buyers in the American market as early as 2021.
