Iran has expressed discontent with the deployment of the US THAAD missile defense system in Israel.

According to Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, Tehran considers this deployment as an element of “psychological warfare” and does not pose a serious threat to the country. As reported by the Iranian news agency IRNA, Nasirzadeh stressed that this does not worry Iran.
The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Hossein Salami, also responded to the situation by saying that Iran is ready to deal a severe blow to Israel in case of aggression by the Jewish State. He advised Israel not to rely too much on American air defense systems, noting that Tehran is aware of the weaknesses of Israeli defenses.
Previously, the Pentagon announced plans to transfer the THAAD system to Israel to improve protection against ballistic threats. According to local media, the system has already arrived in the country and residents of Beersheba reportedly saw it being transported along a highway near the city.
Known as one of the most advanced ballistic missile defenses in the world, THAAD was designed to counter threats such as Scud missiles. The total cost per battery is more than $1.25 billion, with each interceptor missile costing about $13 million.
Pentagon spokesman Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder confirmed that the first elements of the THAAD system are already in Israel. The complete package, which includes six launchers with eight interceptors each, a radar and a fire control system, will be fully operational in the coming days.
