The 120-year-old mosque in the Ahmadli settlement was restored at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

The 120-year-old mosque in the Ahmadli settlement was put into operation after major repairs. The repair and restoration work on the mosque built in 1904 was carried out at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

AZERTAC reports that the president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban AliyevaVice President of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and relatives visited the Ahmadli settlement mosque on September 23.

It was reported that at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which immediately responded to the appeal of the residents of the settlement, repair and restoration work was carried out on the facade of the mosque and its surroundings. Here, the places of worship for men and women, ablution rooms, the ceremonial house were renovated, and the surroundings of the mosque were improved.

At the same time, landscaping work was carried out at the main entrance to the Ahmadli settlement and on several central streets of the settlement to preserve the historical appearance, tombstones were placed and green strips were laid. New sewage pipes were also installed on the streets under repair. The roofs and doors of several private houses have been modified.

The monumental complex located in the settlement and the surrounding park were reconstructed and green areas were planted. The unique architecture of the settlement has been preserved in the works carried out.
