The 16th Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival will be held on the occasion of the National Music Day, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, from September 18 to 28.
From the ministry Oku.AzAs we have been informed, in addition to Azerbaijan, well-known artists and groups from the USA, Russia, Germany, Spain, Austria, Korea, Turkey, Brazil, India and other countries will participate in the festival.
In addition to Baku, the festival will also host concerts, plays, exhibitions, scientific lectures and master classes in open and closed venues in Shusha, Ganja and several cities.
During the festival, the exhibition “Our Culture in the Footsteps of Patterns” will be held at the M. Magomayev Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall, which is presented by the Scientific-Methodical and Specialized Center of Culture of the Ministry of Culture.
The opening ceremony of the 16th Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival will take place on September 18 at the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall.
The event will feature performances by the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after U. Hajibeyli (artistic director and chief conductor: Honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov) and the Azerbaijan State Choir Chapel (artistic director and chief conductor: People’s Artist Gulbaci Imanova). Soloists People’s Artist Ulviyya Hajibeyova (piano), Honored Artists Ramil Gasimov (tenor), Inara Babayeva (soprano), and winner of the international competition Mahir Taghizadeh (baritone) will present their performances.
It is also planned to screen films based on the works of Uzeyir Hajibeyli at Heydar Aliyev centers and cinemas across the country and to organize various events at cultural centers operating in foreign countries.
