THE Minister of Social Rights, Social Economy and Employment, Carmen Maeztudelivered this afternoon on Navarra Self-Employment Recognition Award 2024with which The Government of Navarra has recognized the trajectory and a contribution of a total of 17 professionals who carry out their activity in different productive sectors such as the agri-food industry, construction, commerce or hospitality, or even in artistic or beauty and healthcare activities, among others.
During the event, organized at the Baluarte Conference Center in Pamplona, and attended by almost a hundred people, a total of 16 prizes and a special mention to those self-employed workers and are leaders in their sectors of activity.
Minister Maeztu, accompanied by the Director General of Social Economy and Employment, Iñaki Mendioroz, congratulated all people awarded In this edition, as well as the finalists, “you generate jobs, you contribute to the development of Navarre and it is you who give life to the villages and give special value to society”, he said.
In her speech, Minister Maeztu recalled that The Foral Community currently has 46,500 self-employed workers. which represent more than 15% of contributors. The rate of self-employed workers per 1,000 inhabitants in Navarre is within the national average. The number of self-employed workers in Navarra therefore continues to stimulate the economy significantly.
He emphasized that 47% of independents in Navarre have been established there for more than 10 years in its project, which indicates that the sector has consolidated and viable businesses. This also reflects a very high percentage of people over 46 (61.8%), which is why the government continues to focus on policies to help the problem of generational change.
Councilor Maeztu also assessed, “the effort and sacrifice” of autonomous peoples: “I am aware of the complexities and efforts involved in creating, operating and managing a business,” he indicated, and in this sense he announced the creation, within the framework of the law on industry, the one-stop shop for businesses and the business file. “a space to which you can access in a personalized way and from there carry out all the procedures, streamlining administrative management, a request from your group, to which we will be able to respond little by little as indicated in the Autonomy Plan recently put up to date -Employed work”.
People awarded
These awards, awarded every year since 2017, included a total of 54 candidates. The winners were chosen from the Navarrese Council of Independent Workers and citizens, by popular vote.
The special mention of the gala went to Mikel Gomez Lopez from the company Discover Bricks where he develops creative construction workshops.
Angel María Linzoain Eugui was awarded in the “Best male experience in business” category for his career at the head of the Atekoa cheese shop located in Iragi.
For his part, Sara Brun Moreno was recognized in the “Best female experience in business” category for her work as an artist and promotion of cultural projects stemming from feminism and rurality in Carcastillo.
Saúl Chueca mailbox received the award in the “Best young business experience” category for the opening the only veterinary clinic existing in the city of Murchant.
In the category “Best business experience for a disabled person”, he was awarded Lorena Zoco Casadoof the company Salseretafor the creation of an intergenerational and multifunctional space.
German Alejandro Sánchez Martín was awarded in the category “Best Innovative Business Experience” for his work in both plumbing and heating companies and the creation, among other objects, of Urajet, a part that allows the faucet to have two outlets and becomes a source.
In the category “Best professional in the agriculture, livestock and agri-food sector”, he was recognized Aingeru Larrasoaña Etchaide for the cider production.
In the category “Best professional in plumbing, electricity, heating, air conditioning, gas and fire prevention and engineering” he was awarded Antonio Cabañas Martínez-Treceño for his composting project.
Amaia Izar Leache Larumbe was awarded in the “Best building professionalcarpentry, cabinetmaking, painting, masonry, glasswork, architecture, interior decoration and landscaping. Izar Leache is developing his career at the head of his real estate decoration company.

On the other hand, in the category “Best hotel, pastry, bakery and workshop professional”, the prize was awarded to Amaia Chorraut Urrutia for the launch of Iratiko Kabiak tourist accommodation located in Orbaizeta.
In the category “Best professional in information, communication, marketing and advertising, IT, robotics, administrative activities, consulting, lawyers, social graduates and auxiliary services”, the prize was awarded to Marta Pineda Retameroamong other actions, the creation of its own eco-design brand Msoux or even the layout of spaces and windows.
Itsaso Baquedano Moreno was assigned in the modality “Best Education and Training Professional” for her work as a sex educator in the workshops she teaches in the Foral Community.
In the category “Best professional in activities related to health (physical and mental), beauty and care, pharmacy and everything related to the animal world” she was rewarded. Maria Legarra Oroquieta for his work at the head of Pharmacy SF10.
Finally, in the category “Best professional in artistic, recreational and entertainment activities and socio-cultural services” he was rewarded. Ivan Carmona Lopez for his career as a musician Suakai.
Business relays
