The president of the Generalitat Valenciana Carlos Mazon This Tuesday, he set the tone for his news Reconstruction Government after DANA, a task which was envisaged “the biggest challenge in the history of Valencian autonomy“. That is to say, since autonomy existed. To carry out this same challenge, Mazón set the tone: “The action will be the message“. Thus, he assured that “every person, every house, every street, every business, every industrial zone of every city will feel part of this reconstruction in which The guarantee of being a safer and better prepared territory is inalienable“.
As part of this same reconstruction, Mazón entrusted three fundamental tasks to his new government: better communication, obtaining all the resources necessary for reconstruction and coordination between administrations.
A final chapter in which he offered a helping hand for the monumental undertaking that awaits this new executive. And for this, he warned, he will also need the collaboration of the two other Valencian provinces: Alicante and Castellón.
Mazón expressed himself thus in the act of take possession of the new advisors of his renewed government after DANAwhich began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the flood, the worker who died this Sunday in a school in Masanasa and the last victim of gender violence: a 15-year-old minor who died this Monday in Orihuela Costa.
The event had two parts. The first, the inauguration formal of the new members of the Valencian Government: Francisco José Gan Pampols, Nuria Martínez Sanchís, Juan Carlos Valderrama Zurián and Marián Cano García.
Although the first vice-president Susana Camarero and Minister of Finance and Economy Ruth Merino also took office. Server, because he includes in his responsibilities the spokesperson and secretary of the new Consell. Merino because he is no longer spokesperson and maintains the Treasury and the Economy.
Mazón entrusts three tasks to his advisors
The other part was in which Carlos Mazón referred to the monumental work involved in the reconstruction and had a special memory for the victims: “The pain we share will stay with us forever and ever.“, he said.
In addition, he traced the path of managing the three tasks in which, he warned, “must be present in the action of all administrations in a sustained manner”, in a clear allusion to the Spanish government.
The first task is related to communication: “Explain more, do much better“. The second, also addressed to the Government: adopt the “necessary” measures, counting on the resources “required by a reconstruction of this magnitude”. And there he added: “Ours and those we receive, those who come and those we will not tire of demanding.”
The third task is to “maintain maximum collaboration with the rest of the institutions“, another reference to the Spanish government, in this case with an outstretched hand: “Allow spaces for effective dialogue with the rest of the administrations, improve coordination, reserve all the time, all the energy and all the resources for what truly deserved our time and energies: the people, their homes, their businesses, their transportation, their right to return to the normality they lost with the floods.
“The action will be the message”
It was at that moment that Mazón announced that from now on the messages “will no longer talk about action”, because “the action will be the message”. An idea that has been distilled into a whole program that brings together action oriented to the service of families affected by DANA“of their needs, of the arrival of help to be able to rebuild their lives and their home”.
But also a “action supported by cooperation and coordination of all areas and all levels of the Consell. That is, full participation of all positions and levels of government. A question in which he included not only those responsible for the province of Valencia, but also those of Alicante and Castellón as “necessary keys to reconstruction”. In fact, the heads of the town halls of Alicante, Castellón, Elche and Valencia were present at the event.
In addition, Carlos Mazón spoke of a action aimed at “awakening the confidence of citizens as actions progress”» and “the results are appreciated”, as well as “effective” action to guarantee these same results and “real action and constant presence”.
