The Amancio Ortega Foundation creates a fund of 100 million for the municipalities affected by DANA

The human tragedy generated by the passage of DANA brings a large part of the business world to get involved. One of the entities that does this is the Amancio Ortega Foundationwho announced the creation of a fund with 100 million euros (16 billion of the budget old pesetas) to support “the” affected citizens in their most immediate needs.

This is a fund that will be made available to Social services of impacted municipalities due to the natural disaster, as indicated in a press release from the Foundation.

The institution indicates that “will work with the competent administrations so that aid is delivered to those affected in the most agile, rapid and efficient way.

The Inditex group, which belongs to Ortega, had already donated 4 million euros to the Spanish Red Cross and Cáritas Española2 million each.

The objective of this donation is also to “help cover basic needs vulnerable or excluded people affected by DANA”.
