The Andalusian pavilion at the World Travel Market, the international tourism fair in London, held from November 5 to 7, attracted 38.8% of total visits to the entire show, increasing its weight on the total number of visitors to the fair by 5.1 points compared to 2023 (33.7%).
The Andalusian area business zone has also facilitated contacts from 60 Andalusian companies present (30 more than in 2023). This space housed 60 work tables of two types: 30 fixed tables and 30 rotating tables. The fixed tables were used by companies with permanent participation throughout the duration of the show, while the rotating tables allowed the occasional participation of other companies with non-permanent participation.

On the other hand, the fifth edition of Tourism Innovation Summit (TIS) 2024, organized in Seville from October 23 to 25, 2024, brought together more than 7,900 visitors, 416 speakers and 221 exhibitors from 41 international delegations. Under the motto “Elevating the travel industry through technology”, the event reaffirmed its relevance as an international platform for promoting innovation, sustainability and technology in the tourism sector .
Andalusia, as a leading destination, has based its presence on TIS 2024 to strengthen its position in the field of technological solutions and digitalization, taking advantage of this showcase to show their progress and establish strategic connections that open the doors of Andalusian tourism companies to international markets.
SMEs and international operators
At TIS 2024, the Junta de Andalucía participated in 42 actions and meetings to facilitate contacts between SMEs and operators international markets for the opening of new markets, to consolidate the deployment of the model of support for the internationalization of tourism companies through the Andalusia brand, to promote the TravelTech industry with planned high-impact actions and demonstrations of solutions , and with new technological products and processes to be implemented in the Andalusian tourism industry, among other objectives.
Once TIS 2024 is completed, estimates indicate a generation of an economic impact in Seville of more than 20 million euros, in addition to promoting the creation of temporary jobs in sectors such as hospitality, transport and entertainment. This impact translates into short- and long-term benefits, increasing demand for local services and promoting investment in the tourism sector.
In addition, the presence of industry leaders and talents contributes to the enrichment of the job offerattracting young professionals and expanding the network of contacts in the sector.
