THE outrage in Valencia multiplies after this Sunday an operator died and another was injured while working on cleaning and recovery work at the Lluís Vives school, in the Valencian town of Massana, after part of the roof collapsed. Proof of this is the cries of neighbors to the authorities who have settled on the scene and which can be heard in the images above these lines.
Tension arose when a group of neighbors gathered behind the police cordon that surrounded the neighborhood. There they uttered insults such as “Murderers! Come help! or “Son of a bitch!” against the government delegate of the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, who spoke to the media, but also against the mayor of the city, Francisco A. Comes, who accompanied her.
In fact, sources from the authorities present assure laSexta that the mayor has disappeared without knowing if he went to the municipal council to receive the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón. The ‘popular’ had announced a few minutes after confirming this new tragedy which was moving towards the square of Alicante. From now on, their presence in the school zone can no longer take place in order to avoid no more boos.
A few minutes after this moment, Mazón announced through a publication in X an “emergency meeting at the Palau de la Generalitat with Tragsa [empresa pública a la que pertenecían los trabajadores] and officials of the Ministry of Education to analyze all actions.” Of course, without specifying whether he will ultimately go to Massanasa. After that, he assured that it was “an accident that does not can no longer reproduce” and transferred his “deepest condolences to the family of the deceased worker”.
