Ukrainian troops continue their offensive in the Kursk region. According to the latest reports, the 95th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrounded units of the 18th motorized rifle division of the Russian Federation in the Malaya Lokni area. This was reported by Russian media.

There are also rumours that FSB chief Alexander Bortnikov may resign in the near future, with Vladislav Menshchikov or Sergei Korolev being named as his possible successors. These personnel changes indicate that the Kremlin is increasingly relying on security officials with experience in counter-terrorism and counterintelligence activities, who it sees as guarantors of the regime’s stability.
