Koldo’s plot had inside information from the Civil Guard. This is revealed by the audios to which laSexta had access and which are included in the UCO report. Some audios that demonstrate the infiltration of the former advisor of Ábalos, Koldo Garciaand the commissioner Víctor De Aldama of the Civil Guard. The members of the conspiracy had first-hand information thanks to the commander Rubén Villalbaaccused in the Koldo affair.
In one of the audios, De Aldama asks him directly if there is anything against a “friend”. “There’s one who tells me that there’s something… eh… about your friends, the blue ones. Do you know a unit called UDEF? ” “The UDEF is the national police, but I’m not that…”, Villalba told him. “That’s why I say, that’s why I say, the blues,” insists De Aldama. “There we don’t know or have any connection with them or anything. “I know absolutely nothing, okay?”, explains the commander of the Civil Guard.
But De Aldama does not remain calm. “They tell me there’s something about ‘friend,’ that you know who ‘friend’ is.” and at the same time, like me, I have a lot of coffee with the ‘friend’, because at the same time there could be something.”
“Well, I don’t, I have no idea. Besides, I’ve been offline for weeks, so… I don’t know, I have no idea what you’re telling me. ” Villalba said.
A conversation recorded by Villalba after which, when De Aldama hangs up, the commander is heard recording: “Well, the call with Víctor Gonzalo de Aldama is over and well, here we see what he said.”
Conversations which, with the arrest of twenty people from the Koldo plot, generated uncertainty among Rubén Villalba and several agents. In another audio, he speaks with a colleague to try to confirm that nothing affects him in the investigation. And so the conversation goes.
Rubén: “But at the beginning there is nothing, no boss? At the beginning…”.
Agent 1: “No, no, really Rubén. No, no.”
Rubén: “The truth is, but hey, I’m screwed, I’m screwed because…”
Agent 1: “No, there is nothing. In other words, what is true is that what we did wrong, and I blamed you for it at the time, was to to have cut completely, so drastically.”
Rubén: “I admit it, but boss The truth is that I went into psychosisIn addition, I entered, it was more especially because I saw myself with the birth of another child and I said fuck it man, I’m going to jail“I don’t know… because yes, of course, boss, I admit it to you openly, even more so.”
Agent 1: “I know it’s true that, damn, when we… when the news comes about this, I don’t know what, I talk, I call you on the phone and so on , damn, we’re scared, damn, damn, damn…”
Rubén: “I’m already bad there…”
Agent 1: “It looks like they’re coming… they have something, I don’t know what.”
Audios which show the nervousness of this high command of the Civil Guard. Civil Guard Commander Rubén Villalba received a “salary” from the “Koldo plot” to ensure the safety of its members in case they are “caught”. This is stated in the UCO report. Investigators conclude that this senior official would be responsible for facilitating “secure lines of communication” for members of the alleged criminal organization, as well as “the adoption of security measures”.
Villalba would have received up to 88,119 eurosboth by the businessman Víctor Aldama and by the advisor of Ábalos, Koldo García. All in exchange for guaranteeing the safety of the members of this group in case they are “caught”.
The relationship between the former Zamora CF president and Villalba began in 2019 through the mediation of Koldo, who already had a relationship with the agent under investigation.
The UCO confirms that they were up to four agents who “directly or indirectly” facilitated the arrival of the sums paid by Aldama into Villalba’s family accounts.
The commander of the Civil Guard was arrested a few days after Koldo and Aldama as he prepared to leave the country.
