At least one person died and eight were injured after a shooting and stabbing allegedly took place at the central bus station in the city of Beershebain southern Israel, according to the Israeli emergency service, Magen David Adom.
The deceased is a police officeraccording to the popular channel 12 An Israeli woman, who was treated in critical condition by emergency services but succumbed to her injuries, while the other injured were taken to the city’s Soroka Hospital.
The police speak of “suspected terrorist attack” and reported that they killed the attacker at the scene of the incident. Officers have not concluded the incident, which began around 2:27 p.m., when a call was received from emergency services.

Israel is located on alert for the first anniversary of the massacre perpetrated on October 7, 2023, in the midst of an escalation of violence in the region and against a backdrop of fears of terrorist attacks on Israeli soil.
The biggest attack on Israel since the creation of its state is underway 1,200 Israelis dead and others 251 were kidnapped – of which 97 remain in the hands of the armed group – which triggered an intense Israeli offensive against Gaza during which nearly 42,000 people have already been killed, most of them women and children.
