In the months of January to September of this year, the average monthly nominal salary of employees in the Azerbaijan economy increased by 8% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 993 manat.
Oku.Az Referring to the State Statistics Committee, it is reported that average monthly nominal wages were highest in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, professional, scientific and technical activities, information and communications, as well as in the sectors of transportation and storage of the economy.
As of October 1, the number of salaried workers in the country’s economy amounted to 1 million 768.3 thousand, of which 880.3 thousand worked in the state sector of the economy and 888 thousand in the non-state sector.
18.8% of employees trade; vehicle repair, 18.2% education, 12.8% industry, 8.5% health and social services to the population, 6.9% construction, 6.4% public administration and defense; social security, 4.3% transport and storage, 3.8% professional, scientific and technical activities, 3.3% agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2.2% financial and insurance activities and 14.8% economy dedicated to others fields.
