He soccer Spanish experiencing significant growth in the price of tickets as a visitor as reported by the FASFÉTHE Federation of Shareholders and Partners of Spanish Footballwhich highlights the economic damage suffered by supporters who follow their teams throughout Spain, both in La Liga and in the Second Division, the leagues of Javier Tebas.
The organization FASFÉthrough his campaign #MaxPayhas continued to monitor ticket prices for visiting supporters this year and the results for the first third of the season are not encouraging. It should be remembered that the price of visitor tickets does not concern Thebesbut a single decision by the clubs, which in several elite clubs join together to grant reduced prices, seems insufficient.
In The Leaguethe average ticket price for visiting supporters increased by 4.89% compared to the same period of the previous season. This means that the average cost increased from 34.44 euros to 36.12 euros per ticket. Although there is an agreement between several clubs to limit these prices, entities that are not part of this agreement have favored this increase, making it difficult for the most loyal supporters to participate.

The situation is even more worrying Secondwhere prices rose by 12.40%. In this category, the average cost per ticket for visitors increased from 19.08 euros to 21.45 euros, and even extreme cases were recorded, such as an attempt to charge 70 euros per ticket to displaced supporters.
“In addition to this increase in prices, there has been a reduction in the capacity of visiting areas in several stadiums compared to the previous season, limiting the possibility of attendance by several visiting supporters,” they stressed. FASFÉ on this other controversial detail which limits supporters to travel with guarantees to see their team across Spain: “FASFE will continue its work of observing the conditions offered to visiting supporters in our football, and will reiterate the demands of the campaign #PagoMáximo: establish in the regulations of football competitions in our country set the maximum prices of tour tickets and establish a minimum quota for them.
The agreement of the Visitor Stand, insufficient
From FASFÉit is emphasized that the existing agreement, called ‘Harrow Visitor“, is not enough to stop this upward trend in prices, because they are “run by entities that do not participate in said agreements.”
Athletic Club, Atlético de Madrid, CA Osasuna, CD Leganés, Deportivo Alavés, FC Barcelona, Getafe CF, Girona FC, RC Celta, RCD Mallorca, Real Betis, Real Sociedad, Real Valladolid, Sevilla FC, UD Las Palmas and Valencia FC are the 16 First Division clubs who are in the agreement to regulate the price of visitor stands, in which they undertake to “offer a fixed minimum quota of 300 tickets at a maximum price of 30 euros”, according to La Liga Javier Tebas in a press release in early August.
However, the lack of support from four other key teams limits the scope of this measure. Additionally, the reciprocity system means that non-participating clubs do not benefit from reduced prices when playing as visitors, which harms their supporters.
