The Azerbaijan national team, consisting of men’s and women’s volleyball players, will play in the European league.
Oku.Az reports that according to the rules of the European Volleyball Confederation, the participants were divided into leagues according to the classification. Teams with a high rating will compete in the Gold Europa League, and national teams with a relatively low rating will compete in the Silver Europa League.
Our women’s team, which is ranked 19th in the standings, will play in the European Gold League, and our men’s team, which is ranked 37th, will play in the European Silver League. Both competitions will be held from May 30 to July 6, 2025. National teams from 12 countries will compete in the women’s competition and national teams from 8 countries will compete in the men’s competition. According to the regulations, the Silver Europa League will have a tournament table and the two best teams will qualify for the final. The final matches will be played in a round-trip format. There will also be a tournament table in the Golden League. Unlike the Silver League, the top 4 teams will advance to the final four.
