According to new research, coffee prevents age-related muscle loss.
Oku.Az reports on this with reference to Ferra-ru.
According to scientists, coffee consumption prevents the development of sarcopenia. Sarcopenia is a musculoskeletal disease that reduces strength, muscle mass and work capacity during aging.
People who drank coffee every day had 11 to 13 percent more muscle mass.
The study looked at the health status of more than 8,300 American adults. Data was collected between 2011 and 2018. The average age of the participants was about 40 years old and just over 50% were women.
The scientists stress that the study simply shows that drinking any amount of caffeinated coffee offers health benefits compared to decaffeinated coffee. However, it is not clear why this happened.
