THE Benidorm Semi 2024 launched This Monday, November 4, their last 500 bibs for a special edition of the popular event because it is its 40th anniversary. This sporting event, which will take place on November 23, and which has distances of 21 km and 10 km on its program, already has the last registrations for people wishing to participate.
It should be noted that, as stated in article 7 of the race regulations, “in all cases, registrations will be closed when the maximum number of runners is reached, thus ensuring sustainable growth of the census, a quality experience for runners, as well as the best possible safety conditions. In order to inform potential runners, the Organization will inform when the sale of the last 500 bibs will begin.
The price range for this last segment is 34 euros in the case of Half marathon and 26 euros in the 10K.
The circuit of Benidorm Mid-2024with a route framed like the skyline of the tourist city par excellence, will be approved for both distances and it should be noted that the test is included in the national calendar of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA). The 21K (will measure 21,097 meters) and the 10K (will measure 10,000 meters) with exit at Av. Comunidad Valenciana (corner Calle Belgica) and arrival at the Plaza de SS.MM los Reyes de España, 1 Benidorm (City Hall ).
As in the last two editions, the Benidorm Half, organized by Tour-Sport Promociones Deportivas, will have popular runners and will also continue the commitment to the presence of elite athletes, for now there will be marathon runners Paris 2024 Paralympics Carmen Paredes and Elena Congost.
The 2023 edition was marked by the participant history of the event with 4,800 runners, exceeding the previous record of 3,510 in 2021, or one thousand three hundred additional registered. Moreover, with a singularity such as the fact that 33% (1,600 participants) actually came from the same country outside of Spain, such as the United Kingdom. Besides the Spanish and the British, 22 other countries participated.
In the global census, 38% of participants were women and 62% men. In terms of distance, in the case of the 10 km, 53% are men and 47% women, so the numbers were almost completely equal. In the case of the half marathon, 70% are men and 30% women.
For this 2024 edition, the organization will seek to continue working to improve the race and, compared to previous parameters, once again exceed the historical record of registrations as well as continue in the line of equalizing the figures in terms of participation masculine and feminine. . A half of Benidorm that is based on pillars such as experiential, international, tourist and, logically, sport.
