Fernando Alonso continues to have many difficulties finding the rhythm of competition with the Aston Martin. The Asturian delivers test after test with a car that lack of rhythm and still manages to achieve relatively positive results.
During the Qatar Grand Prixattracted attention as Alonso criticizes one of the aspects that characterize the Losail circuit and several other aspects of the calendar. The Asturian considers that there is no good organization regarding the grand prix with ranking and ‘sprint’ race.
Fernando considers that the format benefits to the most powerful cars and this makes the task of competing for a modest car more complicated: “It’s difficult to overtake, but the criticism is not about the circuit, it’s in format. If you do two races and two rankings, the better teams will be ahead“.
“If they don’t do something new, like an inverted grill, the best they will always be ahead“, declared the Spaniard in a statement to the microphones of ‘DAZN’.
This is not the first time that Fernando has criticized this aspect. The Asturian sees this as a disadvantage which harms teams with a less competitive car. The Aston Martin continues to help Alonso and despite this, the Asturian managed to eleventh in the sprint race.
