The Savelovsky District Court of Moscow received a consumer protection lawsuit against blogger Valeria Chekalina (Lerchek). This was reported by the joint press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction on the Telegram channel.
The plaintiff indicated that she purchased from the defendant the course “Premium Program with Valeria Chekalina” worth 2 million rubles.
“According to the plaintiff, the entire essence of Chekalina’s consultations boiled down to idle conversations during a joint tea party, as well as inciting third parties to conclude paid contracts with them,” – says the message.
The hearing on this claim in court is scheduled for December 11 of this year.
As reported EADaily After the closure of two criminal cases against Valeria and Artem Chekalin and the payment of arrears of taxes against the divorced bloggers, a new criminal case was opened under part 3 of Art. 193.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Withdrawal of funds from Russia to the account of a non-resident with the provision of false documents to the currency control authorities in an especially large amount, organized by a group). According to preliminary data, the amount of funds illegally withdrawn from Russia is estimated at 25 million rubles, but in reality it could be much more.
According to investigators, the attackers, including famous bloggers and their business partners, produced an informational product – a fitness marathon, which was sold to Russians over the Internet. At the same time, contracts were concluded with foreign legal entities and the payment was transferred to accounts of a foreign bank.
After the charges were filed, Chekalin was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.
