The Capuchinos district is decorated for the coronation of the priest of Malaga

The Capucins district wakes up today in its most beautiful finery. Balconies decorated with hangings and banners, streets decorated with chains and banners with litanies to the Virgin. The Divine Pastor of Malaga leaves today for the Cathedralwhere next Saturday she will be crowned by the bishop of the diocese, Jesús Catalá, and leaves her neighborhood for a few days. Pastoreña Youth decorates the streets of Malaga

Everything is ready for the priest of Malaga to be transferred today to the Cathedral, where she will await her coronation next Saturday October 5. Meanwhile, the streets of the capital of the Costa del Sol eagerly await the arrival of the Virgin. To do this, the Pastoreña Youth took charge of decorating many corners of Malaga, both in Capuchinos and in the city center.

The white chains stretch along several streets in length and width. There were also several banners with the flags of Malaga, Andalusia and Spain which contain various litanies to the Virgin. On them, we can read “Patroness of Sports”, “The Virgin of the Capuchins” or even “Shepherd of the Crowned Capuchins”.

There are also balconies, duly decorated by the neighbors and which they have prepared with all their love and dedication to the priest of Malaga. Hangings in red damask fabrics and banners in Conceptionist, Franciscan and Vatican colors accompany the reddish ones. Everything for and for the dedication of a neighborhood whose fervor will bring to the temples of the Virgin Shepherdess a crown sculpted in gold graciously offered by her flock.
