Turkish amateur fishermen caught a huge grouper weighing 41 kg.
Oku.AzAccording to information from “Haber Global”, the fish that caused controversy on social media was caught in the Merich River in Edirne.
The grouper, which is one of the largest fish in the Mediterranean and also known as the stone kingfish, is reported to weigh between 20 and 30 kg. Therefore, the big hunts by Ismayil Yeni and Ayhan Arda from Çanakkale have aroused great interest in the country.
The fishermen sold their catch to the local fish market for 170 liras (about 8.5 manats) per kilogram.
The amateur fishermen plan to continue their interesting hobby.
